How do I obtain a police report?

Police Reports

In most cases, police reports are not released until the investigation/case is complete due to ongoing litigation and investigation. If the case has been adjudicated, a copy of the report can be obtained through the Circuit Court Clerks Office.

Accident Reports

Individuals requesting accident reports can go on-line to Buycrash.com to retrieve the report or stop by the PD and see our clerk. Copies are $5 at the PD and $10 online. It may take up to 72 hours for the report to become available on-line once it has been filed. If you check and it is not on BuyCrash, keep checking.
